Terms
The service
Tara (tara.tahoebio.io) is a service operated by Tahoe Therapeutics Inc, 490 Forbes Boulevard, Suite 3B, South San Francisco, CA 94080 (Tahoe) that lets AI agents query Tahoe's public datasets through MCP tools. It is provided as is. By signing in or using it you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
Research use only
The service and its outputs are for research use only. They are not medical advice, not a diagnostic or clinical tool, and must not be used to make decisions about the care of any person. Results can be incomplete or wrong; check them before relying on them.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
You sign in through Amazon Cognito with a Google account or with an email address and password. Use is open to accounts with a verified email address. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree to:
- respect the per-account limits, and not try to avoid them. The service may also be paused by Tahoe, and refuses calls while it is;
- not try to bypass, probe or defeat access controls, sign-in, limits or the read-only query restrictions;
- not use the service to scrape or bulk-copy data in order to rebuild the underlying dataset beyond what its licence allows (the public dataset itself can be downloaded from Hugging Face);
- not disrupt the service or other users, or use it unlawfully.
Data and content licensing
Different parts have different terms.
- The Tahoe-100M data is released under CC0 1.0 (see the dataset page on Hugging Face). Nothing here restricts what that licence allows.
- Tahoe's guidance, skill text and the service wrapper are copyright Tahoe, all rights reserved.
- Pathway scores are Tahoe's analysis of Tahoe-100M. Score definitions follow published gene-set collections (for example MSigDB, CC BY 4.0, and its source collections such as KEGG, Reactome, GO, WikiPathways). Gene-set names identify those definitions; their member gene lists are not redistributed.
- Gene-set names are those of their source collections (MSigDB, GO, Reactome, KEGG, WikiPathways, BioCarta, PID) and remain under those collections' terms.
Sources: Subramanian et al. 2005 PNAS (MSigDB); Liberzon et al. 2015 Cell Systems (MSigDB hallmark gene sets). Please cite them when you report pathway results. MSigDB (gsea-msigdb.org) · MSigDB licence terms · KEGG (kegg.jp)
Signing in is an access control on Tahoe's service, which protects it from abuse and cost. It is not a condition on the data, which stays under its own licence wherever you obtain it. Future datasets will state their own licence.
Suspension and changes
Tahoe may suspend, limit or end access, and change, pause or withdraw the service or these terms, at any time. If we change the terms, the updated version applies once posted here.
No warranty
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise it will be available or error free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Tahoe is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or research time, arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes go to the state courts in San Mateo County, California, or to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California where federal jurisdiction applies, subject to any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
